Who should take a workshop?
The workshops are beneficial and appropriate for any person who is bilingual, working interpreters, educators, families and friends of the Deaf citizens.
The workshops may be for ASL and interpreting students who want to learn more about interpreting with a great deal of depth, interpreters who are seeking certification, and certified interpreters who want to attain a higher level in specific area.
The workshops may be provided separately for learning students, beginners pre-certified and certified interpreters at different date/time for the best interest of each individual.
Will interpreters be provided?
The workshop will be conducted in ASL. If you need a voice interpreter,you may arrange your own or we can coordinate interpreting services for you. For rates, contact us.
When and where are your workshops?
Workshops are scheduled according to your availability to conduct them. They can be held any day of the week, including Saturday and Sunday, depending on your location. Schedules can be arranged to hold two or even three workshops weekly, depending on the location of workshops.
We are available for travel and we are happy to discuss your workshop request even if they are outside the locations mentioned. We may be able to waive the travel charge. Expenses for travel and lodging (hotel, rental car, airfare, etc) will be negotiated on a case by case basis and may be covered by the requesting company or reimbursed at cost.
How much does a workshop cost?
This depends on the location, number of participants, topics and length of the workshops. E-mail us for more information.
Can I earn CEUs for your workshop?
Certified interpreters can earn CEUs. We provide RID CEU credits. Register for and attend the workshop and then sign the Activity Report Form.
